This project is a collaboration between ‘Revive’ and ‘The Heap’. A group of up to 15 asylum seekers/refugees participate on a weekly basis to learn about gardening and growing food and to be part of the community allotment in which they have co-responsibility for the plot. Asylum seekers are a very marginalized group with many presenting high levels of unmet need. Many asylum seekers experience mental health difficulties. In this project, they have a chance to get active and learn something new in a consistent way.
We have just received funding from “Awards for All” and this creates many exciting possibilities for this project!
